K-beige is a beige limestone from the Philippines, also traded as Beige Classic, Italian Pearl, Perlato Philippines or Teresa Beige. Its background ranges from cream to warm beige, with a fine, fairly uniform grain and soft cloudy veining; minor whole fossils lend the surface a gentle, natural character. This limestone is widely used for flooring, wall cladding, staircases, bathroom surrounds and light-traffic interior paving, and it can also serve ventilated faades. Polished, honed, brushed and sandblasted finishes all give good results, depending on the desired effect. Marmi di Carrara supplies K-beige as blocks and slabs in 2 and 3 cm, plus cut-to-size work, with photos of the actual slabs before purchase.
