Gris Perla is a grey granite quarried in Spain, widely appreciated for its uniform, sober appearance. The stone shows a compact leucocratic structure with a medium, hypidiomorphic granular grain, giving surfaces a fine speckled pattern in soft pearl-grey tones with light mineral variations and no pronounced veining. Its regular colouring and technical solidity make Gris Perla suitable for flooring, wall cladding, kitchen worktops, staircases and outdoor paving. Polished, honed, flamed or brushed finishes all enhance its character, depending on the project. Marmi di Carrara supplies Gris Perla granite as blocks and slabs in 2 and 3 cm thicknesses, cut-to-size pieces, with photos of the actual slabs before purchase.

Gris Perla Granite: complete guide
Overview
Gris Perla is a light grey Spanish granite with a fine, even grain. It is an understated material, chosen when a neutral and very hard-wearing surface is wanted.
History and origin
It is part of the wide range of grey granites produced in Spain and has been on the international market for many years. Its neutral tone has made it common in paving, cladding and kitchens. It is supplied as slabs, tiles and finished pieces. Marmi di Carrara supplies it on request.
Appearance
The background is pearl grey, with very dense white, grey and black crystals that give an almost uniform effect from a distance. Variations between slabs are generally limited. Polishing gives a brilliant, slightly darker surface; honed or brushed, it looks soft and matt.
Uses
Suitable for high-traffic floors, offices, shops, kitchen worktops, bathrooms and stairs. Outdoors it is used for paving and cladding with rough finishes. Its fine grain also makes it ideal for precision pieces such as thresholds and window sills.
Care and maintenance
Water with a neutral detergent is all that is needed. A stain-proofing protector makes maintenance of kitchen worktops easier. Avoid steel wool, which could leave rust residues.
