Blanco Berrocal is a premium granite from Spain, distinguished by its compact, pure white appearance. This stone features a medium-grained, equigranular texture that provides a uniform, elegant surface without prominent veining. Its bright, neutral tone makes it ideal for modern architectural projects, including countertops, flooring, and exterior cladding. Blanco Berrocal performs well in polished, honed, or flamed finishes, allowing designers to tailor the tactile and visual experience to specific needs. Marmi di Carrara supplies Blanco Berrocal in blocks, standard 2 or 3 cm slabs, and custom cut-to-size pieces. Blanco Berrocal Granite: complete guide
Overview
Blanco Berrocal is a light, medium-grained white-grey Spanish granite with a restrained appearance. It is designed for anyone looking for a light, hard-wearing stone that is easy to fit into different projects.
History and origin
It belongs to the family of light Spanish granites widely used in construction and urban paving. In Spanish, the term berrocal refers to the landscapes of granite boulders typical of several parts of the peninsula. It is an imported material available as slabs and flooring formats. Marmi di Carrara supplies it on request.
Appearance
The background is greyish white, with grains of quartz, light feldspar and dark mica distributed evenly. The overall effect is homogeneous, with slight variations in tone between batches. A polished finish makes it more contrasted, while flamed and bush-hammered finishes make it lighter and more uniform.
Uses
It is used for outdoor paving, steps, kerbs, façade cladding and interior floors. It can also be used for kitchen and bathroom worktops. For public spaces it is best to choose greater thicknesses and rough finishes.
Care and maintenance
Wash with water and a neutral detergent; outdoors, periodic cleaning removes moss and deposits. A water-repellent treatment reduces absorption and slows the build-up of dirt. Avoid using large quantities of aggressive de-icing salts.
