Beola Bianca is a classic white granite quarried in Italy, renowned for its uniform, bright appearance and fine-grained texture. The stone displays a clean, milky background with subtle speckles of darker minerals that add depth without compromising its overall brightness. Its consistent colour and smooth grain make it ideal for both polished and honed finishes, suitable for flooring, countertops, wall cladding and exterior applications. Marmi di Carrara supplies Beola Bianca in robust blocks and ready‑to‑install slabs of 2–3 cm thickness, offering cut‑to‑size services and high‑resolution photos of actual slabs before purchase, ensuring precise selection for architects and designers.

Beola Bianca: the complete guide
Overview
Beola Bianca is a light gneiss from the Ossola valley, with thin, parallel streaks of dark mica on a white-grey background. It is chosen for exteriors, stairs and floors where durability, grip and a natural look are needed.
History and origin
Beola stones are traditional stones of the Piedmontese and Lombard Alps, worked for centuries in the Ossola valleys. Their schistose structure also allows natural split-face slabs to be obtained, historically used for paving, steps, balconies and windowsills. They are still among the most sought-after stones for mountain architecture and residential exteriors. Marmi di Carrara supplies it on request.
Appearance
The background is white or pearl grey, crossed by dense, oriented dark grey streaks that give a striped effect. Cut in a different direction relative to the schistosity, it can show a wavier or speckled pattern, and slabs vary in the intensity of the veining. Flamed or split-face, it looks light and rustic; honed or polished, it brings out the mica lines.
Uses
Ideal for outdoor paving, stairs, thresholds, windowsills, pool surrounds and façade cladding. Indoors it is used for rustic or contemporary floors and for kitchen worktops with a honed finish. It is not the right choice if a perfectly uniform surface is wanted, because the streaks are always clearly visible.
Care and maintenance
Outdoors, periodic washing with water and a brush is enough; any moss can be removed with specific non-acidic products. Indoors it is cleaned with a neutral detergent. On honed tops and floors, a water repellent that limits the absorption of oil and dirt is useful.
