Petrographic description
The stone displays red and pink veins, lenses, and patches against a cream‑beige background. It consists of micritic calcite crystals, with micritic textured thin to medium crystals clamped together; grains are partially rounded interclasts and fossil remnants cemented in a sparitic matrix, with iron‑oxide traces on uncontinuous surfaces.
Tasçilar Rosalia is a Limestone quarried in Turkey, catalogued in the Marmi di Carrara atlas under the international reference ICTRLS00045. Its dominant tone is red, with medium grain and a fossiliferous / veined texture.
Like every limestone, it is supplied as raw blocks, gangsaw slabs in 2 and 3 cm and cut-to-size pieces made in our Carrara plants.
