Verde Veneziano Granite: complete guide
Overview
Verde Veneziano is a green Brazilian granite enlivened by light specks and dark crystals. It offers a lively but balanced colour, suited to worktops and cladding.
History and origin
It comes from Brazil and is one of the best-known green granites on the market. The name is commercial and does not refer to an origin in the Veneto. It is used mainly as polished slabs for kitchens, bathrooms and cladding. Marmi di Carrara supplies it on request.
Appearance
The medium-dark green background is speckled with light grey or beige grains and black crystals, with a medium grain. Variability between slabs is moderate, mainly in the number of light specks. Polished, it has a glossy, deep green; honed, it looks lighter and velvety.
Uses
Suitable for kitchen worktops, bathroom tops, floors, stairs and cladding, including outdoors. For walkable exteriors a flamed finish is recommended.
Care and maintenance
Clean with a neutral detergent and, if desired, apply a stain-repellent protector on worktops. Avoid aggressive acidic products so as not to dull any resins present over time.
