Prairie Mountain is a coarse-grained granite quarried in the United States, appreciated for its warm brownish red colouring. The pronounced grain gives the surface a lively, textured appearance, with mineral speckles in earthy tones that vary from block to block rather than forming regular veining. This robust natural stone suits both interior and exterior applications: kitchen countertops, flooring, staircases, façade cladding and landscape works. Polished, honed, flamed or bush-hammered finishes all enhance its character, depending on the desired effect. Marmi di Carrara supplies Prairie Mountain granite as blocks, slabs in 2 and 3 cm thicknesses and cut-to-size pieces, with photos of the actual slabs sent before purchase.
