Azul Transmontano is a distinctive granite from Portugal, prized for its robust grey appearance. This stone features a coarse-grained structure with prominent feldspar megacrystals, creating a textured, mineral-rich surface that varies subtly in tone. Its natural durability makes Azul Transmontano ideal for high-traffic flooring, exterior cladding, and heavy-duty countertops. Architects often select it for modern and industrial projects where strength and character are required. Suitable finishes include polished, honed, and flamed surfaces to highlight its unique grain. Marmi di Carrara supplies Azul Transmontano in blocks, standard 2/3 cm slabs, or custom cut-to-size pieces. We provide high-resolution photos of actual slabs before purchase to ensure you select the exact variation of this Portuguese granite.
